Slabtown Workshop No. 4
The NWDA Slabtown Committee is organizing a series of community-driven, public planning workshops in the first half of 2010 to develop a community vision and one or more masterplans for the Slabtown area.
Workshop No. 4 was held Thursday, March 18th from 6 to 8 pm at the Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center. Three student design groups presented their master plan concepts to an audience of more than 50 community members. Attendees were invited to ask questions and make comments about each of the masterplan concepts.
Between now and early June, eight student designers, as part of their U of O class requirements, will design a specific building in one of the masterplans. The community will be invited to a public presentation of masterplans and building designs in early June.
