Slabtown Workshop No. 3

The NWDA Slabtown Committee is organizing a series of community-driven, public planning workshops in the first half of 2010 to develop a community vision and one or more masterplans for the Slabtown area.

Workshop No. 3 was held Thursday, February 25th from 6 to 8 pm at the Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center. Three student design groups presented their master plan concepts to an audience of approximately 50 community members. After the presentation, attendees visited design stations located in the NNCC lobby to ask questions and provide feedback to the designers.

The third of four Slabtown planning workshops was held Thursday, February 25th from 6 to 8 pm at the Northwest Neighborhood Cultural Center at 1819 NW Everett Street.

The agenda for the meeting was as follows:

Introduction and Process Overview – 10 min.
Presentation of Masterplans – 45 min. (15 min. per group)
Open House with Designers at Design Stations – 45 min.
Group Comments and Q&A – 20 min.

Please join us to share your ideas and voice your preferences for the future development of the Slabtown area of Portland. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
